Fushia & Myrtle cuttings

Hi
Could anyone share some advise regarding paleness or yellowing of cuttings? I had them under plastic for humidity and root growth and then once they showed new growth I took off the covers and kept them on the same windowsill for a day or so after and gave them a little more water then moved them to a sunnier (but not south facing) spot, kept soil moist and then after 4 or so days the fushia started budding. I nipped the buds off as wanted the roots to get the energy but since then they started to become pale looking so has the Myrtle cutting so I've put them back on the beginning window sil and I'm crossing my fingers they dont die.

What could i be doing wrong?
