I have had a long correspondence with GS about my issue. It's unresolved. Leaking from the middle of the connector to the tap. Very frustrated,. Basically I am not going on holiday if I can't resolve this.
Some body already mentioned it: double-check the o-ring on the end of the black tap for damage and/or misalignment.
Then dismantle all parts relating to the Hoselock connector and take pictures of them (including the tap spout) so that we, who have similar setups, can deduce what the actual problem is.
If every component is present and correct then it is most likely a crack in the plastic.
I don't know if this has been your experience but most people who are new to the Hoselock connector use brute force to push the connector onto the tap spout until it clicks. It is much better to slide the outer sleeve down first, push the connector on then release the sleeve as it reduces the chances of you breaking something especially when the connector is not pushed on straight.
Incidentally, to prolong the life of the o-rings, smear vaseline on them prior to fitting onto the connector(s).
re my issue, I bought new hose connectors from elsewhere and they work fine, so the problem was with the connectors supplied by GS. They are not replying to my messages now.
