Vinca Gertrude Jekyll

shsshs Posts: 21
I’ve just planted six Vinca Gertrude Jekyll under a cherry tree as plant cover but have had second thoughts!   Am I mad to bring Vinca I to the garden?   Is it going to take over the entire bed - time to rip them out still!  Your advice please!!

It's easy enough to chop back. It will simply grow to fill an empty space  :)

Some people do find it a nuisance, but I've never found any vincas to be a major issue. If you have wild rabbits, they'll keep it in check too  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

In my experience the white flowered form is far less vigorous and also more attractive than the usual forms so you should be OK.   I'm trying it here under some recently planted out Japanese maples.

Thank you both so much - gardening new to me and there’s enough without giving myself problems? Gertrude stays!
