Brussel sprout management

When do I need to chop off the uppermost portion of the plant leaves in our brussel sprouts? Took this photo today. Are we ready?

    You don't.   You can start harvesting the sprouts, starting from the base and working up and then, when they're all gone you can eat the tops too.

    Good luck with them.  Can't abide the smell or the taste myself but OH likes them.

    They must be delicious because the caterpillars keep having a go. 😀
