Woodshavings

Afternoon all,

I've got a bag of woodshavings that is no longer needed as pet bedding :(

Presumably it would work as an alternative to straw for preventing strawberries coming into contact with soil. Or compost bin? What alternative use gets your vote?

    It's great for regular mulch.
