Rose sucker or new growth?

Hi. I have a newly planted(bare root in November 2919) David Austen Bathsheba. In the last week I have noticed these two stems growing from the ground. They are reddish. Are they new growth or suckers? Should I cut them off? Photos attached. Any help appreciated

    Yes! Well done. I was just saying over on the rose thread that I pray for new basal canes every day!
