Please help - oak sapling - leaves have gone white

Hi, I'm after some advice please. What do you think is wrong with the leaves of my oak tree sapling? Have I been watering it too much or too little? Should I destroy it as I have another oak sapling next to it that I don't want to infect?

Hi Julia - it looks like a touch of mildew.
I've got plenty of oak saplings in my garden (thanks to the squirrels) and they look the same - so we can blame the weather.
They'll grow out of it in no time once we get back to normal weather - whatever that is these days. Nothing to worry about.
Just try not to let them dry out and they'll look magnificent in about 100 years :)

  • Thanks Pete :) I will stop worrying about them.
  • So many plants this year are suffering with mildew due to the starnge weather we have been having.
The vines in the greenhouse are starting to recover but maybe too late.
