Suitable roses to grow in pots to climb up a trellis

    Would you root-prune it @Nollie and literally put it in another pot or plant it in the ground?
  • @Busy-Lizzie I am amazed that rose looks so glorious growing in that pot, it looks too small to me, but I presume it gets plenty of food and drink  ;)
    No-one knows if you have done your house-work, but everyone knows is you haven't done your gardening

    I had planned on putting it in the ground this year @Fire and letting it rip, but the suitable spot I identified had enormous boulders just under the surface. So if I get it out and can keep the pot intact (it has a big crack in it) I might root prune it and return it to the same, mended pot. Or a new one. Or a raised bed. It’s growing too vigorously now so decision put off yet again until the coming winter 😆
