A Tale of Two Lavender Angustifolia Rosea

I wonder if anybody could help out with a Lavender Angustifolia Rosea problem.

Both of these were planted in spring from essentially small plug plants/tiny pots.  Both of had the same treatment, water, feeding (not much of that tbh)…

Both were in flower and looking quite healthy just 6 to 8 weeks ago.

But now one of them has gone severely downhill.

Any ideas of what might be wrong and more importantly whether this is salvageable?

I always think plants are like people, my mum was an identical twin but she had more health problems than her sister. It does look unsalvageable though, but you could take cuttings from the other. Just check for vine weevil root damage but I dont think they like lavender.

They do!  At least the geordie ones do!  I lost a lavender to them last summer when I first discovered the little blighters.  I've taken to putting grit on the top of all of my pots and troughs to try and hinder them a bit more.
