Need help with my yucca plant

I bought my yucca plant yesterday from Home Depot. The cane seemed to be cut off with some brown hardened liquid that looked like hardened chocolate poured on it. I left it as is overnight without watering it because the soil was moderately moist. The pink pot that it came in doesn't have holes, so I want to make sure it is dry before watering it. I'm worried because I found pink worm-looking things growing from the bottom of the leaves when I woke up. I don't know what they are or what to do about them. Please help!

You need to repot into one with holes. If the roots fill your existing pot chose one just slightly larger.
The pink worm looks to me like an aerial root but not sure. Other than that it loojs fine
  • The brown hardened liquid like chocolate is likely wax or something that has been deliberately put on the cut stem to seal it - leave it on.
  • Ok. Thanks!
