This has flowered for 5 years and has put on a brilliant show, this year one flower and its poor, any advice I’ve watered and fed it as normal.

    Possibly not enough food and water though. Very dry through spring, especially if you're able to leave them in the ground, which won't have helped. 
    It's also a good idea to divide them now and again to keep them productive - like Irises.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
