Tall hardy grass for container

Dirty HarryDirty Harry Posts: 1,048
Mexican feather grass has the look I want but doesn't seem to grow all that tall.

Looking for something that can manage at least the 1m mark if anyone has good suggestions for a container?

Calamagrostic 'Karl Foerster' or 'Overdam' are slender and tidy, and work well in a large container.

I have a row of 8 Calamagrostis × acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'
They get to about 5ft they remain slender and regardless of what the weather throws at them they stand bolt upright and continue to look good in winter
Just cut the whole lot back to the base once the new foliage starts to grow in the spring

That sounds like a good bet then, especially if they still provide some structure over winter.

    Thanks.
