Is this pond sludge that needs ‘busting’?

Early in the season I used Nishikoi Clear Water which was marvellous at removing blanket weed and keeping the water clear.
However over the last few very warm days pockets of dull green detritus have been rising from the pond base forming a patchwork film over the water surface.
I can scoop it out with a net but that is a 40 minute daily chore. Would a sludge buster do the trick? Or should I apply more Pond Clear? I’d value your opinions.
