Magnolia

Hi,
our magnolia has started to go brown on the leaves. The new leaves at the top appear to be fine but the older are going brown. Any ideas why?

How are you growing the Magnolia? Is it in the ground or in a container? If they are young, they may be shutting down due to the dry and warm weather. This is common on younger trees/shrubs, and more so on plants that are grown in containers.

Make sure the plant is receiving enough water over the summer months. Shrubs and trees need at least 2-3 years to establish until they are more able to fend for themselves.
