Lemon tree - blooming now

Hi all,

This year is the first year I have tried to grow lemons. The lemon tree I have is quite mature with a few fruits and well formed and starting to ripen.

The tree since I bought and potted it on in May has now formed new buds and started to flower. My question is should I leave the new formed buds to flower and fruit or as it’s quite late in the growing season for citrus should I trim the new buds off?

And any general advice for growing lemons would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Paul

Mine is the same tho with smaller fruits as they're new since spring.   Citrus do have a habit of bearing fruits and flowers at the same time.  Make sure it is fed with appropriate feed for citrus plants, is adequately watered and protected from frosts thru winter and it will be fine.
