squash keeps dying

Hi,

so my squash is flowering, starts to develop the squash and then just seem to die. I'm not sure what is happening or what to do about it.
any advice will be appreciated.
I've attached  picture of the plant and squash at the size where it starts to die.

Thank you very much in advance
Sophie

Do you water the plant at all?  They get very thirsty and hungry too and need plenty of energy and moisture to grow fruits.  If they're thirsty or hungry they'll abort fruits.

Might be a bit late now, depending on when you expect your first cold nights but try giving it a big drink - 5 litres - a day for a week and then some liquid tomato food to encourage fruit formation.

If you try again next year, water and feed from early days.  Same goes for courgettes too.
