Ours is certainly in lean soil but it also gets intermittent pruning to stop it triffiding all the way down the drive as a previous owner planted it next to a well in the middle of the drive! It grows like the clappers and, no doubt, I've been chopping out potential flowering stems.

Hmmmm, I can't see a single bud. I did read about the feeding, it did say only feed in spring then stop. Potentially I've messed up here, as I under palnted with a few bedding plants and have given them a bit of feed, but not lots and I wouldn't have thought it'd be enough for the campsis to be affected.

I did read about the feeding, it did say only feed in spring then stop.
Potentially I've messed up here, as I under palnted with a few bedding plants and have given them a bit of feed, but not lots and I wouldn't have thought it'd be enough for the campsis to be affected.
