Red cabbage.

Was I dreaming or did Monty talk about sowing red cabbage for Xmas dinner ? I have got some seeds online so any advice is appreciated ,thanks.

    I didn't see the episode, but maybe as loose leaf baby leaves?

    Hot spiced braised red cabbage ... a traditional UK Christmas dish with goose, venison and feathered game as well as other dishes. 
    Yes, sow them in seed trays or modules now to harvest in the winter.

    Yes, Monty did say to sow now for Christmas. I bought a packet each of red cabbage and red brussel sprouts, all are now ready for planting out. 
    I love red cabbage, braised hot and  spicy with Christmas dinner. It keeps well when frozen and brought out in the summer to eat with cold meats and salad.

    Thanks all have just popped them in a seed tray ,the braised spiced recipe sounds lovely .
