Worm Infestation

Good morning. I have a really bad worm infestation which has totally ruined my grass. I am going to have to turf my garden again as it now looks like the Himalayas. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can put down to deter the worms prior to turfing. Thank you. Sie

You don't want to deter worms, if there were no worms nothing would grow!

And it would not be worms which disturb turf. At worst they would put up worm casts which are easily brushed off when dry.

    Yes - it isn't worms.
Moles if you have lumps and bumps, or even ants if it's very dry.
There are other insect larvae which cause damage to the grass roots, but they also don't cause lumps and bumps.

Worms essential.  Grass, not so much.  More likely moles which are not essential either.

Didn't think you could kill grass . Ours always comes back!
But as others have said it won't be worms .
