Anybody want a Dalek?

Does anybody within travel range of Manchester want/need a Dalek compost bin?

Its huge, it was second hand to me, but its not like anything can really break!  It doesn't have a base, so only for straight onto the ground.

I'm swapping to a smaller, tumbling bin, this one is just too big for a single person household.  Free to a good home!  We are locked down here so I could leave it at the bottom of the drive at an agreed date and time for someone to pick it up contact free.

If there are no takers here, try your local Freecycle.
I've got shot of lots of stuff I didn't want on it.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be able to find someone who wants it, just thought I'd offer it here First as I know it would be going to a good home!  :D

I'd happily take it if only I had the space. My current compost bin is constantly full so lots of stuff goes in the council garden waste bin. I agree - freecycle is your best bet.

My neighbour and I bought one each from the council when they were ‘en trend’ years ago.  Complete disasters.  I had a bees nest in mine and i
had to get someone to deal with it.  Neighbour’s was crawling with slugs.

we cleared both out and I took them to the dump, lots of interest so they went to a good garden.

We have got 3, but Hubby cut out a panel edged with wood, and made sliding doors, because it was ridiculous to have to tip it to get the compost, they arent glamorous, but nor are my green plastic water butts. No slugs, plenty of worms, and good (free) compost

I got some good compost from it, but its taken years!  Be good for a bigger household or a bigger garden!

My experience of Freecycle is that if you offer anything garden-related, people bite your hand off for it.  But if you don't find any takers there, you could try the Next Door website.
