Elderberry Identification

Hello! We have a tree in our garden, which I think is elderberry. I would like to make syrup from the berries but I am not 100% sure it is in fact elderberry. All of the information I have read says the leaves are serrated but the leaves on our tree are not. I would really appreciate any help to identify our tree please. Many thanks.

    NOT ELDERBERRY !!!

Im not sure what it is ... can’t see leaves properly ... cornus possibly ...  but it’s definitely not elderberry and I wouldn’t eat or cook with it without a very positive ID.

Agree with Dovefromabove, it's definitely not an Elderberry shrub. Looks like a Dogwood. It might be Cornus Sanguinea.
  • Thank you very much for your suggestions! I will have a look at these to see if it is one of those.
  • It is a Cornus Sanguinea! Thank you again 😀
