I have neither the time nor the inclination to go hunting for them at night. I'm usually asleep by ten o clock, so for most of the summer, it's still too light at night for finding them before I conk out. I squish any that I see during the day though.
Nematodes don't really work here either - too difficult with the timing and the climate, so I just don't bother. Healthy shrubs shrug them off well enough, so it's just that the aesthetic damage is unsightly.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
