Sunflower multiple heads

we have a sunflower that accidently grew from bird seed. It has 1 stem and 17 heads so far. Is this normal?

    Lots of them have multiple heads, so no, it's not unusual  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    That’s certainly a splendid example ... worth saving some ripe seeds for next year ... if the birds leave you any 🌻

    I am astounded by our sunflowers this year from a free pkt of seeds.  Our 10' one has multiple heads and the main one just looks upto the sky looking for inspiration.

    Looks like a winner. More flowers but still good height is a winner in my book.
