Chocolate vine leaf issues

Hi,

I planted a chocolate vine this year and it’s looked really good. Just recently some of the leaves have started turning a mottled yellow and some have developed brown spots. Anybody got any ideas of what’s going on?

Thanks in advance!

I suspect they are possibly scorched by the sun. Is it planted in full sun? The yellowing could be due to the dry weather accelerating the leaf drop process in the autumn time. It doesn't look like a fungal issue to me. If it is quite a new plant, less than 2 years old, do water it in the evenings to keep the roots going. Especially in the summer months with lack of rain.
