Hi
i have a narrow area in my garden (see attached picture) where I want to place several plants. I have two options to do it: using an elevated raised bed, or placing a wooden table fixed to the wall and place the plants there

have any of you done something similar? Any suggestion?

thanks

I would just put in three huge pots, slightly spaced out, so you can move them when you need access.  Set up a watering system to save some effort and make it low care.

  • Thanks for the answer. It’s an area where there is not much sun so that’s why I wanted it to be high. Also I want to plant several vegs, so I would prefer having several small pots, or using the raised bed and put the soil there

What is that circle in the middle of the path?

  • That’s a sewer I think. I don’t intend to place anything so deep as there is almost no sunshine at all in this area

It looks quite narrow, is it a path to anywhere? You might be better off fixing or standing some shelving to the wall under the trellis and putting small pots or troughs on those.

Is that your wall on the left?  I think if it was I'd be tempted to fasten/hang pots to that wall, then they'd be easy to access to look after the plants.
  • Yes, it is. I already have some hanging pots there. The path is going nowhere.

the wall is already covered with those hanging baskets, so there’s no space there. The only space is in the gap between the wall and the lifted garden. I was thinking on placing something like this

Are you looking to fill that whole space?  How would you access the plants?  How wide is it?

    Your hanging pots look lovely!

Thanks. They are a bit dried, I just arrived from Spain on holidays so they have missed the water...

I want to fill that gap, yes. I can access to the hanging pots from the lifted garden area, that’s not a problem. It’s around 50cm wide and 80cm height
