Lavender Hidcote!?

Hi all, so I bought some lavender Hidcote seeds, Johnson's branded from Wilko, last year which j sowed and got one successful seedling which grew reasonably well but it unfortunately succumbed to some kind of rot or fungus, went grey and died.
So I tried again this year and had much more success - ended up with several healthy looking mini shrubs on the go. However a few of them are flowering, and I'm surprised because they look like some kind of French Lavender to me. Not at all like Hidcote or English Lavender.
Is this what it does in its first year or have I been sold a duff packet?

They look nice and healthy but they don't look like Hidcote to me.
