Help!

Please help, my (very expensive) palm is getting yellow spots and the tips of the leaves are going brown. It started with one leaf but it’s spreading. I read that it can be caused by a lack of nitrogen and potassium so I added some to the soil, but it’s only got worse since then. I keep it in my front porch where it gets filtered light. Pics below... any advice? Thanks!

Could be a watering issue.. either too much or not enough.  Roots can't perform properly and nutrients aren't taken up.

They don 't like dry air, misting might help. How long have you had it? Been repotted at all? Have a really close look to check for any insects, red spider mite etc or any signs of disease, pustules etc. I doubt that's the problem though, usually it's watering. They like to be moist but not sitting in water and they like humidity, hence the misting.

  • Misting will definitely help, and they don’t like tap water...try to only give them rain water xx

Is it the oldest leaf? The one I have grows a new leaf and then the oldest one goes brown and dies off. It's done this for many years and only ever has 3 leaves per plant.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
