Help sourcing a sliding door rail for my greenhouse

Hi All,

I have just moved into a house with an old and run down greenhouse so have spent the last few weekends rebuilding it on decent footings and sourcing some glass from people locally as well as some new twinwall polycarbonate to fill the gaps i couldn't source.

The greenhouse is 8ft wide with a nice wide opening but at the moment there is no door attached and i can't find any hint of a slider rail or anything laying around so i tried to source one online but there doesn't seem to be anything anywhere that lets me buy just the aluminium profile i need.

I am pretty handy with DIY so i was wondering if anyone has made their own sliding door system or has any suggestions of where i should look to source the track and runners to make one from scratch?

Thanks in advance for your help

It's fairly easy to make a hinged door that would fit if all else fails. I made one in the past as a temporary fix and did it like a stable door so you can just leave the top open for ventilation. Otherwise there's often cheap or free greenhouses available on-line (Freecycle/Gumtree etc) with no glass or that need repairing that you can cannibalise for parts.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

@georgeIjr3RwEM - try Two Wests & Elliott (www.twowests.co.uk), specialists in greenhouses, kits and accessories. They also make things to order in aluminium so should be able to help. They are not that expensive either.
