    dianthus

  • Why did you have to order it from the US? A long way to go for any plant...and not sure how they certify exports to be pest free.

What's your take on fuchsia flowers in general?

Back in lockdown, I had to order some for my hanging basket and I was at the mercy of what they choose. I'm pretty confident in saying I'm not overly keen on the excessively blowsy varieties they chose with semi-double flowers.

Much prefer the simple but pretty flowers you get on the likes of Mrs. Popple, Hawkshead, Genii, Mrs. P. Wood etc.

Please avoid importing seed if at all possible, they can bring in diseases. Or at least make sure they have phytosanitary certificates to make sure they're safe to introduce. EU imports are much safer, but still not 100% free from disease. It's a point we labour too frequently on this forum, but it's an important one in order to protect the local ecosystems.

  • Shall do in future. Thanks for the advice
  • I hate to bring it up every time, but it's easy enough to be an issue that passes people by. Cheers @davidchild61
