Good luck, and to happy bees.

  • It's funny how neem oil never shows up in garden centres...wonder if it has to do with the deals with insecticide manufacturers to not stock generic treatments that don't make them money.

If it's not licensed as an insecticide in the UK, they can't sell it for that purpose.

Hi Jenny. Licensed or not, weather permitting it's going on tonight! As it needs to go in with some washing up liquid which I use already,  something might do the trick!

I was just suggesting a reason why garden centres etc might not sell it. I use neem myself on my lupins. I hope it works for you.

Mmm. I understand exactly where you're coming from Jenny. If it works and isn't harmful it's a real way forward. If you can put the stuff I bought on your face I'm more than happy to put it on plants. Let's face it had the only option been something really noxious I would be using that even though I would have hated doing it. Two years leaving things to nature and enough is enough. This year it's worse than last. Doing nothing and having it even worse next year makes me shudder. I'm so grateful that I've had such good advice from everyone. xxxx
