The most incredible rose

nataliennatalien Posts: 15
Hello gardeners!
This rose is growing just yards from the coast on the Fife Coastal path here in Scotland. It is continuously receiving strong, salty wind gales. It's not a particularly gentle environment, but it doesn't seem to mind.
Any suggestions as to the variety? I live not far away and my roses always look like they have taken a beating due to the strong winds here. Any advice as to what this rose might be, or others that are incredibly tough very much appreciated.
Have a great week! 🌹

You'll have to stop and introduce yourself (from six feet away, of course) and ask for some cuttings.  No idea the variety, but it's beautiful.

'Dublin Bay'...  a good reliable red..

  • I thought Dublin Bay was a bit brighter red. It could be Etoile de Holland.

My DB is that colour. Yours is in just the right place. Mine isn't😕 . It's impossible to train over a pergola. Throws up 20ft branches practically overnight and practically impossible to bend. If I do succeed, a pigeon will use it as a perch and snap it.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
