Identification help- weed or not weed

This huge plant seems to have sprung up in my garden over last few weeks- is it a weed?? IF so how do I get rig of it 😲

    Its a elder berry , a weed or not is up to you .

    Keep it.. lovely bushes with white flowers and then purple berries.  Make cordial from the flowers and jam from the fruit.  😁

    Thanks everyone, it’s in a bit of an awkward spot growing over a path and with it getting so big so quickly worried it would take over. I might try and thin it out 👍🏻
