Is my armandii dying.
Hi folks. The pics below show my clematis armandii. I planted it in spring in a deep hole with lots of compost. It grew for a while and then stopped and some leaves turned yellow. However, it hasn’t seemed to have gotten any worse. It just sits there, as is, doing nothing. I’ve given it plenty of water and a feed from time to time, but nothing. It is next to tarmac but other things are growing and I did dig a large hole for it. Should I give up the ghost and pull it out, or will it recover?

I find clematis can take a couple of years to get their roots down before they start moving up top so keep up the watering, a bucketful at a time.
