Salvia

Kat1989Kat1989 Posts: 51
Hi!

I have some salvia seascape growing well and flowering, first year. Just wondering if anyone could give some advice on what to do once they've flowered should I dead head? When should I prune? Thanks

They are lovely plants and I forgot to get some seed this year and I'm missing them.
Best to cut the flower heads off when they die and new smaller spikes will appear from side shoots.
I've not managed to overwinter them very well as they are not hardy plants.
You can save seed from a few dead heads and sow again in spring.
