Moss/algae/fungi how to remove from gravel?????

Hi the property im moving to i thought had a lawn but its actually a gravel garden and a massive amount of moss/algae/fungi has grown and carpeted it. Is there a treatment for this is or is it just cheaper to get all the gravel removed and new gravel laid? its looks to be a commercial or industrial job? Ive googled it but nothing on gravel i can find to help just driveways and large stones.

    It is Nostoc Commune?  Photos and advice here if so:
    If it's not that, a photo would be helpful but most of these issues occur because of poor drainage so if you decide to replace the gravel, you'd be best to address that at the same time or the problem will return in no time.
