Getting fruit and veg glut to community groups

If it's an option, do investigate getting fruit and veg gluts to your local food bank, mutual aid group, community food distribution, Olio food group
and the like. There is a crying need out there nationally. I know a lot
of forum peeps are rural, but soup kitchens, refuges etc are so
delighted to get fresh produce, jams, cakes, chutneys etc to use to make hot food for people shielding, for food parcels and for local collection. The networks connecting allotments, food banks and food waste redistrution are getting better by the month. Networks like Neighbourly are helping shops get food from their stores to people who need it. The Olio food exchange is now working in over 140 countries, growing all the time. x
