Anyone suggest an inexpensive weed killer?

Anyone suggest an inexpensive weed killer?
Maybe one you can dilute into a watering can to give them a good soak. We killed them off and few weeks later they are back?

What are you trying to kill, where is the problem and what have you used?

I have tried all sorts of sprays but they don't kill the roots like it says on the package.

If you can give me the info I need I may be able to help.

If you don’t know what the weeds are photos would help us.

What's childish about recommending you dig the roots out., you asked for cheap and it's the cheapest way.  Plenty of weed killers on the market that tackle roots as well they just take several weeks to work.

A hoe is cheap too and a garden fork for deep-rooted specimens.

Are these perennial weeds coming back or just new seeds germinating?   There is a garden saying - One year's seed means 7 years of weed.  The seeds can remain viable a long time and will germinate and grow at different times and rates depending on water and light levels.   Seeds are not generally affected by weed killer sprays.
