Dahlias - something wrong

Hi everyone, the leaves don’t look right. They did well but now they don’t flower anymore, i added some new compost on top ( they are in a container as i couldn’t cope with the snails eating them overnight). Anything else i could try?

    Well you have flower buds. As they are in a pot I would give them a feed with a liquid fertiliser like phostrogen, miracle grow or a tomato fertiliser to promote more flowers. Keep dead heading through the season.

    but what do you think happened to the leaves? Nothing to worry about? thanks

    Water splashes followed by sunshine = scorch. If you find them unsightly pick them off but I wouldn't bother.
