I haven’t tried it, but used to tear the leaves and put them around plants/shrubs as a mulch to enrich the soil.

That's what we did, and added the older leaves to the compost bins too.

I plan on dividing plants, root cuttings and having a lot of comfrey on the plot. Plant them near the fruit trees and use them to mulch there. Add to compost heap, but I also want to make the liquid feed so I can use it for potted plants at home.

The riddle might help with the blockage issue. Keep us posted please @Mr. Vine Eye

Well the idea would be to keep filling it up, but my comfrey plants aren't mature enough yet. I used everything for this small batch.

2 1/2 weeks from chop to this.

I split some of the comfrey plants that I hadn't yet planted out and I'm going to transplant the others in autumn to a sunnier spot with more space and divide those too.

Planning to fill the plot pretty much with comfrey. Every spare space.

I don't know where you live, but around here, a walk with a carrier bag or two along the canals or river paths , gives lots to choose from.   I can fill a compost bag in ten minutes.  There is a bit near the river where they mow a path for the anglers, two weeks later lots of new shoots.  I leave that which is already flowering for the bees.
