What is this plant please

I think that this green foliage, flower free plant is quite attractive, my Gardner wife thinks that it’s a weed, HELP!

    I think that might be Horseweed, Erigeron Canadensis. Weedy yes, your wife might be right.

    A weed is just a plant you (or your wife) doesn’t want. Maybe you can negotiate to keep some or just allow it to grow in one area?

    It will self seed with gay abandon and produce more unattractive, unwieldy plants all over your garden.  Listen to your better half and get rid before it does.

    Whilst it’s not unattractive I wouldn’t want it to take over, I’ll suggest it’s removal whenever the rains stop. Merci
  • I had one this year. I didn't remember planting it but that's nothing new. It wasn't until I saw some on some wasteland that I took it out along the lines of better safe than sorry.
