Seen this before looks like a spreader

Hey not sure what exactly this is I seen it in a lot of places and spreads like mad but never known the name for it

    Nasturtium.. spreads by seeds.  😁

    Its pretty though, and very good for bees and cabbage white caterpillars.  Easy enough to pull up if it appears somewhere you don't want it.

    And edible ... flowers and leaves great in salads ... leaves also great in sandwiches ... one of my favourites is to use the leaves with salami or with an egg sandwich ... and pickle the seeds and use instead of capers. 

    Not really invasive... it’s tender and shrivels and dies at the first frost. 

    Easy to grow and soooo pretty in pots and tubs. What’s not to love? 😊 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    @B3  😊 If it didn't give a home to the blackfly and cabbage whites they’d be all over our vegetables. So useful to have a few ‘sacrificial’ nasturtiums 👍

    And a lovely fast way for colour. Even out here it thrives.  Gathering seeds now for next year.
