Whipcord Lilly (John in the pulpit) advice please

gingerhengingerhen Posts: 17
It’s my first year growing this lovely plant, it’s now coming to the end of its flowering life.  Do I need to deadhead it? Will it flower again? Or is it a one flower per season plant? I’ve looked online and there doesn’t seem to be any advice around this.

As it grows from a tuber I would think only one flower this season as it's small. Would be inclined to treat it like a daffodil and just snip off the flower but leave the stalk to help feed the tuber for next year.
But then I had never heard of it until now so what do I know!?

EDIT. obvoiusly I dont know but one American website says it has berries after it flowers so more like the arum Lily, lords and ladies that has bright red berries after flowering

We have some of these in pots. We don’t do anything other than divide every few years and repot in a fresh mix of loambased compost with an addition of leaf mould or garden compost or even MPC ... whatever we have to hand.  They seem very happy with that.

They just flower once a year.
