Use of honey when taking cuttings

  Now to find some raw honey.....

  Thanks for that link @Obelixx. I'd seen another article about honey potentially keeping the cutting bacteria-free but that credits it with even more superpowers. I've given it a go with a variety of cuttings taken yesterday so I'll post the results when they're in.

  For several years now I have used the pulp from Aloe vera leaves. It is both antibacterial and antifungal and definitely speeds up rooting.

  Everyone likes butterflies. Nobody likes caterpillars.

  I have aloe veras but not raw honey.  Do you just wipe a cut leaf against the the cutting or what?

  I have used soluble Vitamin C tablets - obviously dissolved in some water - as an aid to rooting cuttings. However, I have no empirical evidence to prove that cuttings treated like this root any better than those just left alone.
