Lawn weed

Neither myself nor our Bowling green minder neighbour recognise this weed. It seems to be resistant to lawn weed killer. Tiny leaves, slightly succulent with hairs at the tips of the leaves.

It reminds me of Meadow saxifrage .... but I’m not sure about that ....
does it have little bulbils/corms at the base?

We think it may well be Parsley-piert, Aphanes arvensis. What do you think?

That’s not one I’m familiar with, but checking my ‘bible’ textbook it does look a strong possibility.

Have to say, despite its description as being 'common' I have never seen it either. Seems it is a rather difficult one to eradicate too. Self seeds from invisible flowers. Only an annual, but a thug.

Small weeds are like small dogs ... they look innocuous enough but ... you have to bend down to do anything to them 🙄
