Astrantia major Variety.

Hi
somebody out there must know. I have an Astrantia major which I purchased this year from a local garden centre. The pot label only tells me it’s a major. I would really like to know what variety it is. Can anyone help?  I do wish garden centres would label their plants properly    I’ve found some varieties that it could be but I’m just not sure

If it continues to flower and doesn't set seed it could well be Roma, a sterile variety that keeps blooming. The flowers look about right.
I grow Claret which is redder so I don't think it's that.

It’s not Roma, as you can see it’s setting seed in the photos. Colours deeper than Roma too.

possibly Rubra? Some of the online photos for Rubra look like yours.

The fact it was not labelled, suggests it is probably a seeded variety and could be anything. If they are produced vegetatively then they are labelled.
