The red and white plant is a fuchsia which likes a shaded position safe from the midday sun.   Some are frost hardy but, generally speaking, the ones with bigger, blousier flowers are less hardy so it will need shelter from frosts in winter.  This is a good start for basic info - https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/popular/fuchsia

The spotted leaved shrub is aucuba japonica which can get rather large.  Evergreen and will produce red berries if happy - https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/82008/i-Aucuba-japonica-i-Golden-King-(m-v)/Details There are other varieties but that link will give you the general idea.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
