Plum tree- Help!

Our poor plum tree has succumbed to some sort of maggot infestation. Please help!!!...  It has happened for the last few years and just don’t know what to do solve it. Ideally we would like to do it organically.

Any tips and advice greatly received
Thanks in advance Louise

You have two problems there, Brown rot and the insects, probably Plum moth.  To get rid of brown rot, you need to remove and dispose of all affected fruit and clear up all fallen leaves and fruit at the end of the year.  Doing that will also reduce the number of problem insects as many of those overwinter in the leaf litter beneath the tree.  If you lay down a mulch of well-rotted manure on the soil beneath the tree after you have cleared-up in late Autumn, you will also further reduce the number of pests surviving to cause problems next year, as well as feeding the tree.  Totally organic. :)
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
