Strange features on my tomato plant

Good morning fellow gardeners
My first post and i wanted to share a couple of photos of some odd features on one of my tomato plants. Hoping you might be able to shed some light on what is causing it.
Firstly, it seems to be getting what look like side shoots protruding part way along the leaf (this isn't a sucker or growing tip) :
And secondly, some of the leaves are very asymmetrical, I've seen this before, but not to this extent:
These could be normal, but this is only the second year I've only been growing my own veg, so I'm not sure. Is it normal? Or if not, what could be causing it?
