Hokkaido pumpkin size

Hey there
I have a hokkaido pumpkin plant very healthy with plenty of fruit, 1 started growing about 3 weeks ago and is still the size of a golf ball others have since grown and are over double the size should i live it or cut it off its obviously pollinated because of it size and the fact it hasn't turned brown and fallen off
Thanks

How many pumpkins are started on there now?  Most people cut the vine after two to four fruit have started to form.  The plant puts the energy into those ones.

I just let my pumpkins grow unless the vine is taking over a neighbor plant.. but I have a longer growing season than you.

at the moment i have one  larger 1 and 2 newer golf ball sized and the older golf ball sized 1 still not growing.i thought the pumpkin  wasn't catching enough rays so i tied it up so it gets more sunshine, but i don't think that matters too much. its just the leaves are huge and causing lots of shade

The leaves need to sun to make the pumpkin grow.. the fruit doesn’t need sunlight (although at the end as the leaves die the sun helps it 'orange' up).

Something to consider ” Beware of the presence of other types of gourds, such as zucchini. Because could hybridize if the pollen from these relatives will transfer on blossoms of Hokkaido pumpkin and fruits may not correspond to the expected quality.”
