I have both pink and purple linarias in a close proximity to each other. I wonder if they cross pollinate as this would mean that the pink plant could produce purple seeds? I only have one pink one (bought as mature plant from a garden centre last year), and many purple ones (grow by themselves every where), so I don’t think the pink one stands a chance to produce pink seeds?
I've got one pink one, which I didn't buy, growing next to my purple ones, so I guess the answer is yes, they do cross pollinate and what you get is a lucky dip
My purple ones can be anything from 3 ft to 5 ft tall. The white ones and the pale pink a little shorter. Not sure whether the variation is genetic or due to some variation in soil conditions. Interestingly, the pink ones often turn up in places that you'd think would be less hospitable - under the privet hedge, in the base of a wall, in cracks in the concrete drive, etc.

I guess I shall have to wait until next season to see what colours I will get ☺️
